sons of elijah hapner (1847-1923) and samantha margaret (davis) hapner (1851-1924). bert (1879-1944), lester (1891-1947), charles (1886-1946), roy (1874-1943), and Jess (1877-1945). the hapners also had daughters ada bell (1876-1923), carrie (1883-1918), and mary (1888-1922). these children were all born in preble county, ohio.
samantha margaret (davis) hapner was the daughter of john forest davis and mary corwin.
